Description

Don't miss our 3 tours of Demre, Myra and Kekova regions in one go for a day trip that includes history, culture, boat trips and even a chance to swim in our warm and welcoming Mediterranean Sea. You will have the opportunity to explore the sunken city of Kekova just below the water surface. We will visit the ancient city of Myra where you can still see the remains of an ancient Roman amphitheater and then see the place where Saint Nicholas, Santa Claus himself, was buried in the tomb in Demre. Three different experiences and sightseeing classics in one tour. Your day begins when your driver picks you up from your hotel and takes you through beautiful, natural scenery towards Kekova Port. During the trip we will stop at Sahin Hill which allows us to really get a good view of the city of Kumlaca and its surroundings. Upon arrival at Kekova port, we will take a private glass-bottom boat to explore the underwater city.

When we arrive in Kekova we will be transferred to our glass bottom boat. This is a truly unique way of traveling that gives us a great idea of what's going on under the water. We will see fish and other sea creatures swimming, but what we will really see is the sunken city of Kekova. This ancient Lycian city sank after a major earthquake struck the region. As the boat slowly floats above the ancient ruins, your guide will explain what each of the buildings is and the interesting historical stories they have. Many of our young guests really enjoy this experience as they can see life underwater without getting wet.

The second exploration site of the day is the city of Myra. Here we walk through the old streets and admire the preserved remains of the ancient Roman and Ottoman Empires. There is a very interesting amphitheater here and the town is full of hand-carved rock tombs. This is a fascinating area to explore and has a rich history. While standing in places where stories and legends live, you will learn about the history and culture of the region. Later St. We drive to Demre to visit the original tomb of Nicholas. The legend of Santa Clause gets stronger here. Every year thousands of worshipers come to this place to pray. Nowadays the church is a museum and you can enjoy well-maintained frescoes on the walls and ceiling.

Lunch is included in the tour and we enjoy a buffet at a nice local restaurant near Aziz Nikolaos Church. After lunch, your driver will be waiting for you to take you back to your hotel in Kemer. The journey will be through beautiful country roads and along the way there is plenty of wonderful scenery on both sides. On this tour you will also discover a powerful history. When you return to your hotel, you will learn about Turkish culture and discover very interesting places. Among the things that this tour will add to you is the atmosphere of ancient cities and places built years ago. With this experience you can find out what it was like to visit the last few years.
